Since its founding in 1944, Slack Chemical has been committed to customer service and quality products. Nestled in the quiet little community of Carthage, in Jefferson County, New York, on the edge of the Great Adirondack Park, ensures a home base of operation for one of the largest privately-owned Chemical operations in the Northeast. With seven buildings of operation consisting of more than 171,000 square feet of covered usable space enables our 65 employees to manage our $7 million inventory. With 70-plus bulk storage tanks, along with a tanker fleet of 30 vehicles, allows us to meet our customer’s needs – on demand. Along with the tanker fleet we have more than 25 van trailers to support the delivery of dry goods throughout our delivery area. Our well-trained truck drivers have the use of 20 tractors and 8 straight trucks to make those deliveries. A certified maintenance staff of two truck technicians and 5 general maintenance support staff keep our facility and equipment at peak performance.
